Award winning Bommie Restaurant is located in the Hamilton Island Yacht Club and is one of the best places to eat on the island.
Please note that Bommie only caters for guests 12 years and over and bookings are essential.
Catseye Beach
Fringed by palm trees, Catseye Beach is one of the main beaches on Hamilton Island and is perfect for relaxing in the shade, soaking up some sun, swimming and snorkelling.
You can also participate in a range of water sports at Catseye Beach including hiring a catamaran, kayak, windsurfer, stand-up paddleboard and snorkelling equipment.
Guided snorkelling tours are also available.
Catseye Beach is right in front of Frangipani Apartments.
Clownfish Club
The Clownfish Club is Hamilton Island's kids club and childcare centre which caters for children aged 6 weeks to 14 years of age.
The service provided by the friendly and professional staff enables you to have some quiet time on your own.
The Clownfish Club is located on the resort side of the island near the main pool.
Children should be dropped off with their own nappies (if applicable), bottles, hats and spare clothes and with sun screen already applied.
Go-Kart Racing
Enjoy the exhilarating outdoor track at Hamilton Island Go-Kart Racing where you can reach speeds of up to 45 kilometres per hour.
This is a great family activity as kids can ride as passengers in double go-karts.
Hamilton Island Go-Kart Racing is located at Palm Valley.
Drivers must be a minimum of 149cm in height and a minimum of 16 years old for duo karts. Passengers must be 4 years old or above.

Hamilton Island Air
A unique perspective of the beauty of Hamilton Island and the Whitsundays can be seen from the air.
Scenic helicopter, sea-plane or aeroplane tours are available from Hamilton Island Air.

The Hamilton Island Air terminal is located 500 metres past the Hamilton Island main airport turnoff on the road to Palm Valley.

Hamilton Island Art Gallery
Hamilton Island Art Gallery has a superb and diverse collection of artwork by world famous Australian artists to suit every taste.
Packing and shipping to anywhere in Australia or worldwide can be arranged.
Hand made jewellery featuring gemstones, crystals, Venetian glass and pearls is also available at Hamilton Island Art Gallery together with a range of home decor including sculptures, cushions and decorative glassware.
Art classes are offered for adults and children.
Hamilton Island Art Gallery is located upstairs above the Real Estate Office on Front Street in the Marina.
Hamilton Island Golf Club
Hamilton Island Golf Club has a challenging world-class 18-hole championship golf course on Dent Island with spectacular views of the surrounding Whitsundays.
There is a daily ferry service from Hamilton Island.
The course was designed by five-time British Open winner, Peter Thomson.
The clubhouse is a great place to relax and enjoy a meal and some drinks after you complete your round.
Hamilton Island Mini Golf
The Hamilton Island Mini Golf course has a challenging maze of plants and palms which is great fun for all ages.
Happy hour pricing usually applies before 10am.
Hamilton Island Mini Golf is located at the Sports Club, near the Reef View Hotel.

Held in August each year, Hamilton Island Race Week is a firm fixture on the international sailing calendar and is Australia’s largest offshore keelboat regatta.

Hamilton Island Wildlife
Hamilton Island Wildlife is fun for all ages with a wide range of exhibits and a café on the resort side of the island.
Exhibits include a range of Australian marsupials, snakes, lizards, koalas, cassowaries, dingoes and crocodiles.
Scheduled guided tours are available with experienced keepers where you can get up close and personal with the animals or simply enjoy the park at your own pace.
Jet Ski Tours
Hamilton Island Jet Ski Tours are a great way to experience Hamilton Island with an expert guide to show you the best locations.
You may also be able to spot some of the marine wildlife including turtles and whales (depending on the time of year).

One Tree Hill Lookout
One Tree Hill lookout is a popular destination at sunset with commanding 360-degree views over the surrounding islands.
The One Tree Hill bar supplies a range of cocktails to accompany the sunset and there is a large grassy area that's popular with families.
Arrive early to get a good spot.
Passage Peak and Other Walks
There are plenty of walks available on Hamilton Island including the trails to secluded swimming spots at Hideaway Bay and Coral Cove.
Passage Peak is a more challenging walk but also more rewarding with its breathtaking 360-degree views of the Whitsunday Islands.
Resort Lookout is another option which is Hamilton Island’s second highest point.
Remember to wear sensible footwear and sun protection and take water with you.
Quad Bikes for Kids
Quad Bikes for Kids provides quad bikes on a child-friendly purpose-built circuit for adventurous kids from 6 to 14 years of age.
Arrive early for a 15 minute safety briefing from the experienced and professional instructors.
Children are required to have enclosed footwear for this activity and long pants, hat and sunscreen are recommended.
Note that all participants must be accompanied by an adult.

Swimming
Frangipani Apartments has its own secluded swimming pool and guests are also free to use the resort pools.
The three main swimming pools along Catseye Beach are Dolphin Pool, Main Pool and Bougainvillea Pool.
The Main Pool is the largest pool and has a swim up bar where you can order your favourite drink without leaving the pool.
The Bougainvillea Pool has a shallow section and plenty of shade which is popular for families with young children.
The Dolphin Pool is near Sails Restaurant and has excellent views overlooking Catseye Beach.
The resort pools are open from sunrise to sunset.
Please keep an eye on your children at all times as the resort pools are not supervised by a life guard.
